Read a supplier bill with AI
Take a photo of a supplier's bill (or choose a PDF), let AI read the supplier, invoice and items, check the matches and fill the Stock-in form. Costs AI credits per page.
Read the bill with AI on the Stock-in screen saves typing. You photograph the supplier's bill, the AI reads it, and AirQR fills in the supplier, invoice number, date and the items, matched to your stock items. Nothing is saved until you check it and press Save stock-in.
Read a bill
- Open Inventory → Buying → Stock-in and tap Read the bill with AI. (The button appears when AI is switched on.)
- Take a photo, or choose photos or one PDF. Up to 5 pages in one go. The screen tells you first how many AI credits it uses: for example "Uses 12 AI credits per page".
- Tap Read the bill. You can Cancel while it works; credits are given back if it fails or you cancel.
Check what it read
The review shows the supplier (matched by GSTIN, then by name), the invoice number and date, and every line with the stock item it was matched to and a badge:
- Sure: matched by a barcode or short code on the bill, by the exact name, or by a name that is very close.
- Likely / Check: matched by a similar name or by the supplier's usual price. Look at these.
- No match: highlighted. Pick the right stock item from the list, tap Create item (owners and managers) to add it on the spot, or leave it out with Skip this line.
Every line shows what was billed and what it becomes, for example "billed: 24 btl → 2 cases". If you pick a different stock item, or create one, the conversion is worked out again for that item. If the same item is on several lines with different prices or tax (a free-goods line at ₹0, say), they stay separate lines in Stock-in. Where the lines do not add up to the bill's total, a warning tells you something may have been misread. People who cannot see costs see no prices or totals here.
Tap Use in Stock-in. The form is filled in and the bill photo is attached to the stock-in automatically. Change anything you want, then Save stock-in as usual.
PDFs and photos
A PDF is counted by its real pages (up to 5) and charged by page; a very heavy PDF is charged a little more, because it costs more to read. A photo the browser cannot open (some HEIC photos) is refused with a message: take the photo with the camera or upload a JPG or PDF.
Credits
Reading a bill uses AI credits per page (see AI credits). Credits are returned when the AI fails or you stop it. Anyone who can count stock can use it; the credits are the business's. A blurry photo reads badly: lay the bill flat, in good light, and capture every page.
