The bar screen

Run the bar from a dark, drinks-first screen: the tab or table up big, big drink lines with sizes, tap each drink as it's poured, and see what's left to pour.

The bar screen is the station screen for a bar. It's dark and high-contrast by default so it reads well in a dim bar, with big text and big buttons for wet hands. It uses the same screen design as the kitchen display; a sun / moon button in the header switches to a light screen if your bar is bright. Any station set to the Bar screen type in Settings → Stations opens it; a bar business starts with one.

How do I open the bar screen?

On the bar tablet, open Kitchen display and tap Bar at the top (or bookmark /dashboard/kitchen?station=bar). The bar screen fills the whole display. Press the expand icon for full screen, and the X to leave it.

The header shows the bar's name and icon, how many rounds are New, Preparing (some drinks poured) and Ready, how many are Late, the clock and a Live light. It also has the station buttons, the EN / हिन्दी language switch for this device, the sound on/off button, the dark / light button and full screen.

What's on each ticket?

Each round with bar items is a card:

  • Where it goes, big: a TABLE 4, TAB Rahul or TOKEN T12 block, so the tab name is the first thing you read.
  • The order number, the round (R2), a pulsing NEW tag for the first minute, whether it came from the POS, a QR order or the Kiosk, and who took the order.
  • The drinks: quantity in a coloured block, the drink name, and the size (30 ml, 60 ml, Bottle, Pint) as a label.
  • A yellow HAPPY HOUR tag on drinks discounted by a happy-hour offer.
  • Add-ons, and notes such as "less ice" highlighted. A red ALLERGY tag appears if a note mentions an allergy.
  • A line such as "+ 2 items from other stations on this round", so you know food is coming too.

The timer runs in minutes and seconds with a thin bar under it. It turns amber and says Due soon after 6 minutes, and turns red and says Late after 12. Owners and managers can change this in Settings → Stations under Target time: the round turns amber at that many minutes and red at twice that.

How do I mark drinks as poured?

  • Tap a drink when it's poured. It gets a green tick and is struck through. Tap again to undo.
  • All poured marks every drink on the round as poured.
  • A line under the drinks shows how many are poured, for example "2 of 5 poured".

When every item on a round is ready (the bar's drinks and the kitchen's food), the round moves to Ready to serve for the waiter, the takeaway board and the guest. Poured rounds wait in Poured · waiting to go out at the bottom; tap the undo arrow if you marked one by mistake.

What is the "To pour" list?

On a large screen, the right-hand To pour rail adds up every drink still to pour, by drink and size, most-ordered first. For example: Old Monk 5 with 30 ml ×3 and 60 ml ×2. Use it to batch-pour.

Orders that are waiting

  • Waiting for payment at the counter: pay-first takeaway or kiosk orders. They can't be poured until the cashier confirms payment.
  • QR orders waiting for approval: managers and owners see Accept and Reject.

Sound and printing

New drink orders chime (tap the screen once after opening it so the browser allows sound). KOTs keep printing the way your outlet is set up; the printer icon on a ticket reprints its KOT. See Printing overview.
