Analytics and sales reports
Read your sales, orders, average bill, busy hours, channel and payment mix, QR scans, kitchen speed and ratings, compared with the previous period.
The Analytics page (under Growth → Analytics) shows how your business is doing: sales, orders, average bill, how guests order, busy hours, best dishes and more. Owners and managers can see it. The basic numbers are on every plan. Busy times, payment methods, menu engineering and item performance are advanced analytics, included in the Growth plan and above and in the free trial.
Choosing the period and outlet
At the top of Analytics, pick Today, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. Every number is compared with the period just before it, for example the last 7 days against the 7 days before. The page header says what you're comparing.
If you have more than one outlet, switch between This outlet and All outlets.
Analytics counts closed (paid) orders only. Open checks and cancelled orders are left out.
The headline numbers
Eight cards at the top. The first four show a percentage change against the previous period:
- Sales: total billed, without tips, with net (before tax, after discounts) underneath. When refunds were recorded on settled bills in the period, it shows refunds and net of refunds instead, and the payments panel shows Gross sales · refunds · net (refunds count on the day they were given).
- Orders: number of closed orders.
- Average bill: sales divided by orders.
- Guests served: dine-in covers.
- QR self-orders: the share of orders guests placed themselves by QR, with "scans → orders" (see below).
- Food cost: cost of dishes sold as a share of net sales. It says above the 35% target or within target. It needs food costs on your menu items.
- Kitchen time: average minutes from order to ready, and the time 90% of tickets were ready within.
- Guest rating: average star rating, number of reviews, and the average table turn time for dine-in.
Sales trend and how guests order
- Sales: a chart of sales per day, excluding tips.
- How guests order: sales split by where orders came from (QR self-order, Staff / POS, Online) and by type (Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery).
- When All outlets is selected, this box becomes By outlet: sales and orders for each outlet side by side, so you can compare them.
The QR scan funnel
The QR self-orders card shows how many times your QR codes were scanned and how many QR orders came in. Lots of scans but few orders can mean guests are only browsing, the menu is hard to use, or ordering is switched off. See Guest QR ordering.
Busy times and payment methods (Growth plan)
- Busy times: a heatmap of orders by weekday and hour. Darker squares are busier. Use it to plan staff rosters and kitchen prep around the peaks.
- Payment methods: money taken by UPI, Card, Cash and Other, with the number of payments. Below it are Taxes collected and Discounts given.
Menu engineering and Item performance (sales, revenue, food cost % and margin per dish) are also on Growth. See Menu engineering.
On Starter, these sections show an upgrade message instead; if the Advanced analytics module is turned off, they're hidden. See Plans and billing and Modules.
Exporting orders
Click Export orders to download a CSV of orders for the selected number of days, with amounts, discounts, offers, tax and payment status. GST & accounts takes you to tax reports (see GST reports).
Troubleshooting analytics
- Numbers look lower than expected. Only closed orders count. Close open checks after payment.
- Food cost shows 0% or dishes show "—". Add a Food cost to your menu items, or recipes in Inventory. Costs apply to sales from then on.
- Kitchen time is 0. Tickets need to be marked ready on the kitchen display.
- Guest rating shows "—". No feedback came in during this period.
- No All outlets option. You have only one outlet, or access to only one.
- Busy times is locked or missing. It's part of the Advanced analytics module: Growth plan and above, and on in Settings → Modules.
