Emails from AirQR

Which emails AirQR sends and to whom, how to add a billing email, setting your password from an invite or reset link, Keep me signed in, and what to do when an email doesn't arrive.

AirQR sends a few short emails from hello@airqr.in about your account, your plan and your payments. There's no marketing mail and nothing is sent to your guests.

Which emails does AirQR send?

About your plan and payments (to every owner of the business, and to the billing email if you've added one):

  • Plan activated or changed, when the AirQR team switches your plan on, changes it or extends it.
  • Payment receipt, when your payment is recorded. It shows the amount with the GST split and a link to the GST invoice.
  • Renewal reminders, 7 days and 1 day before your paid period ends.
  • Grace period started when the period ends, and plan ended when the grace days are over.
  • Trial started, and a reminder 3 days before the trial ends.
  • Subscription paused, resumed or cancelled, whenever the AirQR team does one of these.

Reminders are sent once a day in the morning (India time), and each one goes only once per plan period, so you won't get the same reminder twice.

About your login (only to the person whose login it is):

  • Set your password: the welcome email when AirQR creates your account.
  • Choose a new password: a reset link, when AirQR or your owner or manager sends you one.
  • Your password was changed: a notice whenever you change your password yourself (with a link, Change password, or when choosing your own on first sign-in). If you didn't do this, contact AirQR straight away.

The AirQR team may also email you directly about your account, and you can reply to any AirQR email to reach them.

How do I add a billing email?

If your accountant or a shared accounts inbox should also get receipts and reminders:

  1. The owner opens Avatar menu → Plan & billing.
  2. Under Billing email, type the address and press Save.

Receipts and renewal reminders then go to the owners and to this address. To stop sending to it, press Remove. You can set one billing email per business. Only owners can open Plan & billing.

Setting your password from an invite

When AirQR creates your owner account, you may get a Set your password email instead of a password shared on WhatsApp or phone.

  1. Open the email and press the button. The link works for 72 hours and only once.
  2. Type a new password twice (at least 8 characters, not a common password, and not containing your name or email).
  3. Press Set password and sign in. You're signed in and taken to your dashboard.

If the link says This link has expired or This link has already been used, ask the AirQR team for a new one. If you already set your password, just sign in at airqr.in/login.

Forgot your password?

There's no "forgot password" button on the sign-in page, on purpose: only someone who manages your account can send you a reset link.

  • Owners: contact AirQR (see Contact support). The team emails you a reset link or gives you a new password.
  • Managers and staff: ask your owner or manager. On Admin → Staff they open the ⋯ menu next to you and choose Email a reset link, or set a new password for you. See Staff, logins and roles.

A reset link works for 60 minutes and only once. Your old password keeps working until you use the link. After you choose a new password you're signed in, and you get a short "password changed" email. Sending a new link makes any older link stop working.

Keep me signed in

The sign-in page has Keep me signed in, ticked by default.

  • Ticked: you stay signed in on this device, even after closing the browser. Good for your own phone or the restaurant's fixed POS.
  • Unticked: you're signed out as soon as the browser closes. Use this on a shared or borrowed device.

An email didn't arrive

  1. Wait a few minutes, then check your Spam, Junk or Promotions folder. Mark AirQR's email as "Not spam" so the next one lands in your inbox.
  2. Check the address: plan and payment emails go to the owners' sign-in emails and to the billing email on Plan & billing.
  3. Still nothing? Reply to any AirQR email or write to support@airqr.in and ask the team to resend it. They can see whether each email was delivered.

Receipts and invoices

Every payment email links to its GST invoice. You can also open any invoice at any time from Avatar menu → Plan & billing → Payments & invoices: press the invoice number, then Print or save as PDF. See Paying for AirQR, renewals and invoices.

Common questions

  • Can I stop the reminder emails? Not from your dashboard. They only go near the end of a period, and they stop once you renew. If you'd rather they went to someone else, add a billing email.
  • Do managers get billing emails? No. Plan and payment emails go to the owners and the billing email only. Managers see the plan banners in the app.
  • Does AirQR email my staff when I add them? No. Adding staff or giving a login sends nothing. Staff only get an email when you choose Email a reset link for them.
  • Is support@airqr.in a real inbox? Yes. Mail to any @airqr.in address reaches the AirQR team.
  • Who answers, and from where? A person from the AirQR team. Answers always come from the address you wrote to (for example AirQR Support at support@airqr.in) and stay in the same email thread. Just reply to keep the conversation going; your reply comes back to the team.
